Community Partnership Programs

The Sanctuary Point Youth and Community Centre (SPYCC) is a busy and vibrant hub. It’s a place where new friendships are made, people have fun, learn new skills, get involved and become engaged in their community. everybody can gain access and referral to information, which is provided through our list of resources offered by our friendly staff.

BBCR has strong partnerships including:

  • Primary and high schools
  • TAFE
  • Disability groups
  • Allied health providers
  • Clubs
  • Government and,
  • Community groups

Staff consult with representatives to plan and develop support and access to opportunities for children, youth, families and communities through programs, which educate, and enhance the health, safety and wellbeing of individuals.

We encourage community engagement through participation in events, workshops, group activities, health and awareness sessions, and outreach services offered at SPYCC.

These include the following:

  • Crossroads
  • Shoalhaven hospital
  • Greenacres
  • Youth mental health
  • Immunisation
  • Antenatal nurses, and many more

BBCR hosts recreational activities such as:

  • Nia
  • Line dancing
  • Zumba
  • Walkabouts group (aimed at individuals aged 65+)

The walkabouts meet weekly and enjoy a low impact walk, chat and an opportunity to meet new friends.

Partnership programs ensure the delivery of activities aimed at strengthening resilience in their community.

We focus on fostering and encouraging collaboration and innovation from a range of individuals and group members who share their skills, experience, information and pathways for referral opportunities.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy the benefits of services and programs including activities that support the following:

  • Women’s and men’s health 
  • Youth and children’s week 
  • NAIDOC week-Indigenous programs
  • Intergenerational and mentoring opportunities 
  • Community development 

Hall and meeting room hire is available at several locations. Insurance cover and a contribution fee is required by the hirer.
