On Friday the 5th of June 2009, Bay and Basin FM held a fundraiser at the Huskisson Picture Theatre. 172 people attended and enjoyed the very appropriate Movie " The Boat that Rocked". Over $1600 was raised so a big thank you to all envolved. Even our local federal member Jo Gash attended. Friday 17th April 2009 - Bay & Basin FM performs an outside broadcast at the Men's Shed in Sanctuary Point. Local dignitaries Joanna Gash (Federal MP for Gilmore), Shelley Hancock (State MP for South Coast) and Paul Green (Shoalhaven Mayor) attended the grand opening of Shed 3, whilst Brad and Simon performed the musical entertainment. Saturday 28th February 2009 - Bay & Basin Community Resources Inc (BBCRI) held a bookfair fundraiser at the Community Centre in Sanctuary Point. All funds raised go to help the myriad of community services managed by BBCRI. Brad & James were on hand to provide the music with an outside broadcast. It's official, the Bay & Basin will have a first grade Rugby League team playing in 2009 - Bay & Basin United "Sharks". And we will be there to broadcast all their home games on 92.7. So whether they're playing Batemans Bay Tigers or Gerringong Lions, you will be able to catch all the action either on your radio, or through our web streaming. Stay tuned for further details on home fixtures. Saturday 14th November - Bay & Basin FM now has the equipment to record bands live. We will be attending the opening of the skate park in Nowra and recording all the bands for replay later in the week. Stay tuned to find out when these recordings will be going to air. Saturday 12th July 2008 - Bay & Basin FM held an outside broadcast at Huskisson Bakery, to help raise money for the Variety Club. As part of the days events we broadcast contestants for the "Huskisson's Got Talent" competition. Many thanks to Justine at Huskisson Bakery for organising a great day - Well Done! Saturday 7th June 2008 - Bay & Basin FM conducts a live 5 hour outside broadcast at the Lady Denman Complex, Huskisson. John & Jennie provide the entertainment with excellent music and an interview with Richard Morecroft. Sunday 13th April 2008 - Bay & Basin FM commences live broadcasts of all home games for local Rugby League team, St George's Basin Dolphins. Outside broadcasts will be made at all home games during the season. New Years Eve 2007 - A live broadcast is performed in Voyager Park, Huskisson before the big fireworks display heralds in the New Year. Fingers crossed next year music will accompany the display. November 2007 - Bay & Basin FM carries out a live broadcast from the Dolphin Watch vessel, Tekin III. Our normal listening base is increased when a female humpback whale and her calf are observed very closely during the trip. Is the first whale to listen to community radio, or indeed the first outside broadcast conducted on Jervis Bay? August 2007 - Web streaming commences for all programmes on Bay & Basin FM. Possibly another Shoalhaven first for the station.
