David Hawksworth
David Hawksworth joined the committee in 2001.
David spent two years in the army completing national service between 1970 and 1972. He was a Corporal Instructor at the Army School of Signals. After his service he worked as an electronics technician before going to sea in the Australian Merchant Navy as a Radio Officer for 15 years. After leaving the Merchant Marine in 1991 David worked as a technician with the Sea King Helicopter Simulator, co-managed a Tandy Electronics Store and spent four years working at Radio Station 2ST/Power FM.
David was employed at the Avionics Workshop at HMAS Albatross for 4 years. He was employed by Computer Science Corporation (CSC) Australia Pty. Limited. He has worked at the Seasprite Helicopter Simulator as a senior hardward technician until the cancellation of the project by the Australian Government.
David has lived in the Bay & Basin area for 28 years and has an understanding of the issues in the area.
He is currently working for Partech Systems as an electronics technician. The company is located at the Technology Park adjacent to HMAS Albatross. The company specializes in the design and maintenance of Automated Test Equipment in the Avionics field.
