In September 2001, the Bay & Basin Community Resource Inc. was successful in acquiring an ex-Olympic mini bus through the NSW Government's Olympic Legacy Program.

Originally used to transport VIP's and wheelchair athletes at the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the mini bus, a Mercedes Benz Sprinter - 13 seater, inlcudes one (1) wheelchair position with provision for a seat to be removed to accommodate an extra wheelchair.

BBCRI are always seeking volunteers with a Light Rigid License (LR) to drive the bus to the weekly group activities or when required.

Interested volunteers can contact us to arrange an interview and must be willing to undertake a Federal Police check. Volunteers receive orientation, on-going training and support by qualified staff.
