Welcome

Leonie joined Bay and Basin Community Resources in 2004, as the Secretary of the volunteer Board of Directors. Leonie was then elected President of the Board in 2008. Her passion for the community was able to be directed through her new role – the dedication of her work made such a positive impact on the lives of so many in the local and wider community.

She led the IT Committee, Finance Committee and supported the role of the Chief Executive Officer until May 2009 when Leonie’s health prevented her from carrying out her many roles and acting as the BBCRI President.

Leonie gave from the heart to others and became a popular and respected friend to all at BBCRI. She carried out her role with love and care, from the wonderful food she prepared to the creative cards she made, everything was done with great consideration for others.  

She will be remembered at BBCRI for her valuable contribution, commitment and dedication to the organisation.
